Welcome to the bibliography of published reports about and relating to the Avon-Heathcote / Otakaro-Opawaho Estuary. This bibliography holds over 1,000 entries and is a contribution by the Avon-Heathcote Ihutai Trust to the better understanding and management of this important national taonga.

The bibliography has been developed with the intention of providing access to Ihutai material by the widest possible audience - from scientists to community groups, from schools to environmental activists, from local body researchers to the merely curious.

It has been prepared by Paul Corliss with the assistance of Christchurch City Council and Environment Canterbury staff, and funding from the New Zealand Lottery Grants Board.
